Default b16 motor build sleeving Q

I just wanted some feedback on what I'm thinking of doing. I wanted to slleve my b16 with a 84.5 bore so i could punch it out to a 1.8. I'm favoring the R/S ratio since in turn I would have a 1.8 with a 1.74 R/S. is this worth it or should I just invest in a 1.8 block from the start. is the 1.6 option better then a 1.8?? wndering if this has been done, or if anybody else was thinking of doing it.

Yeah, I was thinking about the same thing. I can get B16 blocks a lot cheaper than a B18C, and a B18a/b's r/s ratio kinda sucks.

I plan on doing the same thing, Golden Eagle resleeve with a 84 mm bore so it will be 1707cc. I like the B16A, its not the torque "monster" like a B18 or B20, but it revs so smoothly to redline, I used to take my built B18B to 8000 rpms sometimes, it was quite an event.
