B16 motor build.....few questions....
So I was planning on sleeving a GSR motor or going with a darton block, but something has come up to where I might be getting a free b16 block. No pistons/rings, just the block/crank. My question would be if I bore it to say 83.5 what size would it become, 1.8 or a 2.0 liter??? Also, have heard horror stories about b16's and all not making good power. I know when I did the previous turbo setup with JE 9.1:1 pistons, eagle rods, and arp head studs I made 274hp/218 torque @ 13psi....should I just go ahead and run 10.1:1 pistons instead of 9.1:1 or 9.5:1? I am shooting for 350-400hp @ wheels @ 18-20psi and going to be using the SC61 turbo with inline pro manifold. Any advice would be great!

big bore b16 makes plenty of pwer, and there are plenty of people on this board making large number's. I don't know the liter conversion.
With a good setup, 83mil bore, 10.1 (I would run 9.5ish
:1 myself, due to how much driving I do) w/ the SC61 is going to make 350-400hp around 15psi I would think.

also, be warned about starting out with just a block and crank!!! I just got done buying all the OEM parts to put mine together, and it added up to almost $1000(which is at a pretty discounted price)!!!!
It will be a nice feeling though, knowing that every nut, bolt, belt, hose, gasket, seal, etc....will be BRAND NEW!!!

You will have no problems at all makign that power with an sc61, @18-20psi you should be well over 400...Im running a stock block b16a with thicker headgasket (~9:1 compression) and my first run on the dyno @14psi i made 315whp with a t3/t04e 60 trim .63 ar. (we had to turn it down, my injectors were maxed out)
