Default B16 / gt2871r T3/T4 .48 a/r question

Hello,

I am about to do a stock b16/gt2871r setup with a t3/t4 housing. The reason for this is so i can use an external wastegate on a t3 flanged turbo manifold

Any thoughts on .48a/r for my setup?

The gt2871r with a t3/t4 housing and .48a/r is available at ATP Turbo.

Can anybody speculate how this custom t3/t4 gt2871r with .48a/r would behave like?

Does anybody run this turbo?

Should I just get a gt28rs?

Thanks
Brian

Default Re: B16 / gt2871r T3/T4 .48 a/r question (airmaxbri)

There are a ton of questions that you have to ask yourself before any real assistance can be used.

1. What is your power goal for the GT2871R?

2. Which manifold do you have for the flange choice? Do you like it?

3. What is the purpose of the car? (Drag racing/ street, strip Road course, street?)

4. Do you have a bias against internal wastegates for that power goal? If so, why?

After that, only then can you get a realistic opinion based on what you've done..
