b16 head with gsr cams. b16 outflows gsr but gsr cams are MUCH better for boost

B16 head over the GSR stock, built and ported don't matter. Reason being, I don't have a pic to show you but I know you can find some, compare the combustion chambers on the B16 and the GSR, you'll notice the B16's is a complete circle where at the GSR's looks as if the sides of a circle where cut off. Because of this, you'll have a littler higher compression with the GSR head. The ports on the B16 are slightly larger as well making for a little better flow. As far as the intake manifold... The flow on the GSR mani SUCKS! Where as the flow on the B16's is pretty good! That is, stock vs stock!

Who said squishbands are a bad thing? Lots of people will argue that the pentroof-design inherent in the GSR head will help to reduce knock and enhance efficiency due to the tumble/swirl-effect when the piston closing to TDC pushes the air/fuel-mixture into the centre of the combustion chamber.

interesting points, seems to me that the b16 head could outperform the GSR head but the GSR head would be more reliable obviously

b16 head flow is only a bit better my a couple CFM's

and the casting on pr3 head arent the best either because of the old molds

i'd take a gsr head, beause of better combustion, better port entry angle, and a better casting

I would go with a GS-R head for the reasons listed above^^^ and because I already have one.
