Re: b16,b20 or h22? turbo?
I wouldnt go H2b if i was gonna turbo the car. The gearing is too short IMO. My H on motor with a stock JDM LSD tranny was at 7000 in 3rd as i crossed the line in an 8th mile. That was with an unchipped P28 limiter set at 7200. I would probably be in 4th gear before i even finished the 8th with an H2b on the stock rev limiter.
My vote is a built H tho.

I dont think it matters what engine you have. I see all engine making good power nowadays. I have a built F22a turbo H2B i am about to put in my car. But i see virtara D16 making big power on a budgets. i think if i could start all over from day one i would go
D16. I also see stock B16 cars making more power than b18c engines. I think it more about tuning and the correct parts.I would think 300 whp on a stock internal car would be fun to drive daily

Re: b16,b20 or h22? turbo?
thanks guy after more research im going to go with b16 for afew reasons
1, iv already got the engine in the car so will not have to buy one
2, its my first turbo honda and there is more info on a b16 turbo
3, for a b20 or h22 there is abit of messing about that i wont get with the b16
4, it will have better handling than the other too
5, it will be cheaper aswell

Re: b16,b20 or h22? turbo?
Are team has a rex with an H22 not boosted yet but wll let you know the tranny still slugish though. My other friend has ef hatch ls vtec thatz faster wen they run all motor, and yes the H22 is more pwr but im pretty sure these motors respond different in these lightweight cars. Oh the heavy H in the rex drives like crap too were still wrkn on suspension but I dont know! If i had a rex! B serious turbo be my personal opinion.

Re: b16,b20 or h22? turbo?
man i have beat a stock b18c1 in my 89 crx on stock suspension for a year, and I had no issues at all hell I didnt even really notice a differance untill I was WOT lol but 500hp will do that.
I dont have an issue at all, but thate because I followed the advise of my shop and I quote " AXLES WILL LAST ON A STRAIGHT AWAY, BUT DO NO BOOST IN CORNORS" so this could be why I didnt have alot of chassy issues at all.
