B16 100 shot w/ Hondata?
Ok, here it is. I would like to run nitrous on my STOCK b16a sirIII motor. I would be upgrading my fuel pump, and prolly my injectors too. I want to run a DRY shot because I will be using my S200's Nitrous controls, which will be able to add fuel and retard timing. I dont think it would be a problem (being tuned be a very reputable tuner) for the motor to take a 100 shot.

A 75 shot is a smarter choose. A 100 shot will just cause more detonation. I tuned a friends stock GSR on a 75shot and it made 266whp and went 12.0 @ 113 in a daily driven EG6. He tryed a 100 shot but it never went any faster and hurt the motor after a few passes. The motor didnt like that much spray.
edit. I had 6-10 degrees of timing pulled out of it plus race gas on the 100shot.

I would deff. not use a 100shot with a dry kit. I have had great luck with dry kits but only at 75 shot. I tryed a bigger shot but it ran worst.

The GSR set up that I am talking about had a good EMS and fuel set up, but the stock pistons along with a few other things is what limited the car from going any faster. You can run 100 or more but it prolly wont make any more power or go any faster unless your tune is off on the spray.
I also had a stock Type-R motor in my car and it didnt like anything more then a 70 shot (dry). I tryed bigger pills but it didnt run good no matter what I did to it.

The way I see it is that the dry kits are for dummys and the wets/DP's are for those that have some experience with nitrous

how u figure the wet is more for the experienced tho? i mean yeh, if something goes wrong... u have one more solenoid and fuel line to look after but thats pretty much it as far as a dry kit vs a wet kit. but its a tossup depending on what u prefer i guess.

Its a wet kit when your using hondata to add the fuel and pull the timing.
Like everyone else has said.. I wouldn't go over 75shot on a b16.

Plus the motor isnt as efficient when you start adding that much spray to it. If you think that I'm wrong just try it.

i have done this like atleast 10 times already....its not that hard man...just get colder plugs and back timing a bit...theres no need for a fuel pump...its not like your going to b spraying 120mph+...

he has hondata so he doesnt need to have the wet kit becaue the hondata will add fuel as it is needed and pull timing. so i would reccoment a dry kit...its what im looking into right now

the fastest one i had was a EG hatch stock gsr with intake and headers...ran 13.1@111mph....that was with 17 inch rims and kumho tires...(didnt have the spacers for the bogarts)...would have we mid 12 easy with the slicks....ran for about 8 months then i flipped the car cause a derr came out in front of me...
