Default B series turbo oil pump reliability???

Something I've notices lately is that a lot of the local 250+hp turbo B series motors have had problems with oil pump failures. A few times it's been a snapped shaft and a few other times the innards just burned up.

Is this a common weakness when running vtec turbo setups? Does anyone know why it might be happening?

i haven't EVER heard of this happening. there have been countless 400-600+whp daily driver cars that havent had this happen.
