I think the si tranny is best...
hit high rpms faster, nobody needs to do over 145ish on a public road
if you build a honda that hits over 145 in a 1/4 mile then upgrade, but also tell me your secrets
this is all speakin from typical boost setups, N/A u can build ur block and up the rev limit to top out higher in 5th

I like a GSR tranny for a high HP street turbo motor. My friend has 350 WHP B16 turbo hatch with an ITR tranny, and even with the LSD you blast through those gears like it's nobodys business. He's going to a GSR with a quaiffe soon

It's good to blast through those gears like it's nobodys business. You're going faster.

If you want to go Supra hunting on the highway, I'd say go LS. With a 16" tire, 4th gear winds out to over 160mph with a 10.5k redline. With a GS-R motor, you'd be chasing in overdrive after 140mph or so. So basically I think it breaks down like this:
Highway blasts: LS (maybe with a slightly shorter 4th gear)
1/4 mile: GS-R/Si
Everyday driving: Either

i dont make as much power as u(only 300/270 on t3/t4e)...and im still at stock redline, but when i raced a BPU supra, from a 45 ish roll, i pulled like 1/2-3/4 of a car in each gear, then i hit 5th, and he just walked on by me...
u are on a bone stock ls tranny? (stock final, stock 4 and 5 gears?)

Who's got this kind of setup? I'd like to ask how he likes it and if he had any problem with mix gears in all. Thanks,
vic
