Default autometer air/fuel guage reading

okay....i know people say that the autometer air/fuel guage sucks and all, but when hitting boost, where should that guage be, in the red, yellow, or green?

of course not in the red since that is lean, but about the stoich or rich?

You will want it in green since you are boosted.

It doesnt really matter since you are using a narrowband O2 sensor. Since it is so broad and innacurate I would definitely want it in the green when boosting.

Yes in the green.

It may be very inaccurate but it is better than nothing.

If its in anything besides the green when you are boosting you are probably running lean.............................

autometer afr gauge is the biggest waste of money, we tested it w/ my wideband, it just bounced around the same every time we change the AFR from rich to lean.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Mine said it was running sooooo lean, that I started adding fuel to make it run richer, but the readings didn't change. I ended up adding so much fuel the car would bog at 1psi, I leaned it back out after all the guys on H-T told me to and what-do-ya know !!! I'm looking into a wideband.. Prob. hit the dnyo first and use there wideband.

Also bear in mind that even if the gauge is in the green range showing rich conditions; in boosted applications you could still be running LEAN, so technically its misleading you thinking your OK but in reality you could still blow your engine.
