Default Auto / Automatic LS Dyno - 196.83 HP / 171.57 TQ at 10 PSI

Finally got my LS dynoed and I've got mixed feelings about the results. I like the numbers, but it's at 10 PSI. The SMC actually looks like it hasn't been touched with a 35% cut across the board on 440 injectors. The guys at the shop assure me I'm doing good with fuel though.

Too lazy to hook up scanner....took a pic of the dyno sheet.

Cruising at about 3500 RPMs ~ 70MPH has me around 1400F on my EGT. EGT is on #3 runner on MaxRev manifold. Haven't looked much at the EGT when boosting (focusing on the road) but it doesn't seem to pass 1500, although I have to check again on a night with open road.

Feels like I get wheel hop/spin coming out the hole for a quick second.

Setup is:
MaxRev Kit (thanks to Kyle from KS-Motorsports.com for a great deal)
RC 440s
SMC
T3/t04e

Suggestions, comments (other than sell my auto and get a 5-speed). I'm getting compressor surge once and a while too depending on how hard I come off the throttle, so if anyone can tell me the best way to adjust a Greddy Type-S I'd appreciate it. I know I have to set it softer/looser, but basically if there's anyway to tell if I've set it too soft while adjusting (feeling it leak or something)?

Nope, haven't upgraded the torque convertor. I'm putting away for a manual swap, so if the tranny goes...well it goes. I hardly boost though so it should last me a good while.

1300 F = 704.4 C
1400 F = 760.0 C
1500 F = 815.5 C

Congrats man, sorry for the late *** reply

So from our dyno #'s its safe to say, automatic b18b's make ~ 190whp ~170lbs at anywhere from 8-10psi.

Only a matter of time before Shadowdawn gets in an auto turbo post

Thanks. What do you EGTs look like? I'm running 2psi more but only making 7hp more, granted every motor is different but the same levels of boost out of the same sized turbos on the same motors should produce close numbers. That's why I said I had mixed feelings about the tuning. Basically the SMC is how it was when I brought it to the shop.

Nice numbers but it seems a little low for 10psi. Did you dyno it in 3rd or was that in D4? What was your A/F ratio? Netherless good numbers.

Shop did the dyno, it was done in d3. Couldn't really tell the A/F because they were using what looked like a Motec wideband (from what I could see) that showed it but doesn't get logged into the computer. They assure me the fuel is good, but like I said the SMC wasn't even adjusted so I don't think they did anything. I need to get access to a wideband to check my A/F. I think at 10psi, auto or not, the numbers should be a little better. Have you dynoed you LS, what kind of numbers did you get?

Well personally I took the wideband in the car and watched it and tuned my afc myself around it to a 11.9-12.5 A/F ratio. So god only knows what your really running fuel wise.

My egts go to mabye 810c max in boost. My dyno was also done in d3.

ya, my car dyno at ~191whp at .54 bar w/ the afc hack. Also mine was done on by shifting from gear to gear up to d3. We tried it on d3 by itself and it acutally produce more hp for some reason but the dude at the dyno said d3 graphs didn't show enough data and wanted a better graph by knowing when d3 acutally started and ended. I forgot my torque but i think it was around ~168 and my A/F ratio was 12.2. I tried dynoing at .60 bar but some how I produced less hp and I started to get a lot of fluttering from my wastegate. I think maybe it was caused from the freakin obd2 ecu and avc-r interfering with one another that I some bad spikes or maybe b/c I had ran about 16 runs and my engine was too hot and losing hp. I'm not really satisfied with my results and I'm thinking that if I swap to an obd1 ecu with rev limit raised, my numbers would be way higher.
