Default Attention Hondata 4b guys...

Has anyone had success in using the PR4 ecu with a 4b set up? I spoke with hondata and they said the PR4 is still under development for their systems, but since i had my ROM chipped for the p74/75 they said it should work but wouldnt give me a definite 105% guarantee. So my question is... do any of you guys run the pr4 without any bugs? Or should i just look for a p74 or p75? if anyone has one that with the OK1 and not the NEC processor let me know asap.

I just setup a PR4 for OnPointEK and it seemed to work fine. Didnt run an engine yet
but it connected to the interface box with no problems.
I also have another PR4 to try as well.

Nope mine is still fucked up

I consider myself to be a semi intelligent person but this has me stupid, mostly because I have never fucked with hondaa, I got 5 people saying different things. Steve came to the conclusion that my cable to my hondata was fucked up, so I replaced it and its still fucked up.

hopefuly I will get it squared awy this week, because I need to ******* boost dammit

I am running the PR4, Im not to sure what ROM I am using, I let SGT take care of that. I figure I am running the P74/P75 ROM.

I ave talked to about 5 different Hondata dealers and 3 different people at Hondata.

2 people at Hondata said the PR4 is fine.
Doug at Hondata was iffy about it.
One dealer said you cant use a PR4.
One deaer said it was fine.
Another dealer said he has done quit a few and all worked out succesfuly.

I am totaly stumped. I put my turbo andhondat all on at the same time. I am o anctious to get this **** on the road and this is ******* holding me down.

I HAVE NO OIL LEAKS, NO FULE LEAKS, I NOW HAVE A TURBO HYBRID THAT I ******* CAN NOT DRIVE BECAUSE OF THIS BULLSHIT. I NEED TO GET IT FIXED SO I CAN TERRORIZE THE STREETS.

i know how you feel man. i waited to have all my bugs worked out before i started the hondata install, just one less thing to worry about when cranking up a freshly built motor. after reading your post im kind of scared to run the pr4 ecu, matt from hondata was a little iffy about it but said it should work. does anyone actually run the pr4? i know some guys said they have "done them and they work", but id like to hear this straight from the horses mouth before i go soldering things. im sure you looked at the troubleshooting on your hondata manual, right?

dude. I posted before saying that I have done a couple of pr4's. They seem to work fine for me.

OnePointEK- Is your blue box blinking? If it's solid then your okay. If your blinking then some kind of connection to the ecu is bad. Either it's the interface cable or bad soldering inside the comp. I had problems where the blue box was blinking and losing connection because of a bad solder.

What did you replace it with?

If you still cant figure it out, i may be able to come up tomorrow night to take care
of it, but have money ready, because you will be buying a new hondata.

ECU is fine, this has already been determined.

I replaced it with a cable that I found inside of my computer.....I was just hanging there, didnt look importat so I took it............(If u can not tell i am very desperate).....

If you could fix it that would be awesome. I spoke to Hondata and they said it would be fine to trade in my old box and get a new one. I would just have to pay a 75 dollar difference.

Steve you are the man!!!!
