I was told that Apex in Tuscon is the best place for that but I havn't been there. It seems to me like there aren't any Hondata traind shops here.

apex i in tucson, does not know jack **** about hondata. they didn't even know what it was when i talked to them 6 months ago.

i would not tune your car though, I am not good enough... i'm sure someone in phoenix might, ask geoff @ full-race, he knows better than I.

yea apex sucks, they don't know anything other than greddy emanage and I don't want to run that. Know any places in phoenix that is good?

I know Jason aka st00pid made a tour of AZ when he went tuning through some states last november. Sounds like you just missed him bud. GL though.

That's right! sorry, I talked to the guys from Full-Race and they said they did it at Apex, but it was done by St00pid NOT by the Apex guys. I just forgot the most important part, oops. Anyways, I'd like to know where to tune too cuz pretty soon I will have to do it.

St00pid said he might be back in Tucson soon if we can get together 10-15 peeps for a tuning session. I'd go, you should too, anyone else know where to get tuned in AZ?

There is a new shop called Xact Dyno. They have a Dyna pac.

The owners name is Tim. He Had the build up of his car featured in a magazine and for the life of me I cant remember which one. It was about building a daily driven 12 second 4door teg. They got a stripped white teg from Honda Auto Salvage and covered the build up in the mag at SRD.

It has hondata and in the mag they credit Shawn Church with the dyno tune on it so maybe he can give some more info on what kind of tuner Tim is.
I have had no personal experience with Xact(or tim) but last I heard they had the only Dyna Pac in AZ.

You can also ask Joe at SRD about him I think thats who srd used now that Technodyne is gone.
There located less than a block from SRD if you are familiar with the area.

To Tim at Xact. Him and Joe (of Locash Racing) are the only authorized Hondata tuners in AZ that I am aware of.

Tim tuned my NA B20 setup this winter and did an excellent job of pulling out quite a bit more power w/ just an SAFC. He also tuned a friend of mine's GSR w/ the DragIII turbo kit and he made quite a bit of power on his setup as well.

Speak of the devil and I just spoke w/ Joe today. He said that he is actually getting a dyno installed in his shop this month so thats another option for you as well.

Yeah a group tune with St00pid would be awesome, but during the AZ summer? This summer I'm going to finish building my turbo motor and I'm thinking of tuning it when it starts to get cool again. Don't u guys think it would be better to tune later cuz of the AZ weather??

i know that IPH (import powerhouse) does some tuning, but not sure if they can do a hondata. give em a ring

I agree with leadfoot on the late tuning. Apex is fine for parts, not tuning.

I have a guy that I've recently started going to with questions about tuning i.e. Hondata...I'm currently just running a chipped PR3, but he put together the program for my car and it runs great!! PM me if you're interested and I'll see what I can do. I agree with everyone on Xact, I'm planning on calling him up when I am ready to dyno my car.

Just FYI, Apex just received all the Hondata tuning software and hardware. They are in the process of setting it up and learning how to tune with it. I am unsure how long it will be before they are all set up.
