ARIAS vs JE vs Wiseco pistons and EAGLE vs CROWER rods???
I know that SRP pistons is the low end quality of JE pistons so that is out of the question.
But anybody who can compare Wiseco from Arias VS. JE pistons, please do so.
Is the quality between the three, comparable? how about the prices?
Also, are there any rods out there that is as good as Crower Rods? I heard Eagle rods is not that good. Any brands out there as good as Crower?

Crower rods are billet steel, which is a lot stronger (becuase of it's density) than forges steel rods, which the Eagle rods are made of...
Nevertheless, Eagle rods are perfect for many applications, and I am going with them...they are easily good for 500+HP (depending on application)..

Re: ARIAS vs JE vs Wiseco pistons and EAGLE vs CROWER rods??? (TheSwift1)
crower are much better from what i hear, but they are also twice the price. im going w/eagle so we'll see how good they are, ive heard nothing but good things about them. i can hook you up w/somone when your ready for some deals.
weisco and je are both pretty good. from what i hear je's are better though. i went w/je.
here is some prices i can get: weisco w/rings 380, je's no rings 380 + rings $100

You can't go wrong with Arias, Je, or wiseco pistons. As far as rods are concerned, the bang for the buck is eagle rods. Eagle rods can hold up to 500hp. Crower and Pauter rods are also great, but they run a lot more then eagle rods.

Crower and Pauter are like the big boys, great rods, ***-munch price. I don't know how good they are, but Saenz has a good looking design (they are actually located down in south Fla) I run Eagles as their price was excellent, quality is great and I don't plan on making much more than 350 whp with this car.
JEs... good priice and great quality. Don't know about the weiscos or arias first hand.

EAGLE rods can hold the pwr you throw at them i dynoed at 730 hp and 505ft lbs they work just as good as the crower. But only bad part they skim out on maching detail. The rods are not really that great quality as in workmanship. Still a little rough could use some work..
Crowers do just as good.

Yep, was told by a well known engine builder that Eagles will hold 700 horsepower. I went with Crower since I'm planning on 1000 horsepower, just kidding, I got a really good price on them so I picked them up. Later Allen

Most of us in here wont' see over 500 whp in a daily driven car. So Eagle rods are for the buck.
As far as pistons are concerned, I have JE's but just bought a new set of IB Spec Wisecos...so we'll see which one is better between those two.

Re: ARIAS vs JE vs Wiseco pistons and EAGLE vs CROWER rods??? (CRV Monster)
I have a set of, b20 14to1 JE's, B16a 8to1 Wisecos and B18a 11to1 srps.
Personally the wisecos look much better built than the other 2, the bottom and top end of the wisecos are muck thicker. the JE's looks nice to but not as good and wisecos, and as for the srp's there thin as hell and dont look so tough

We have switched from Crowers to Manley Rods. They are American made and better quality, we feel, than Crower. We sell them for $550 per set.

I wish everyone would only post what they know (with specific weights) and not what they hear.

Re: ARIAS vs JE vs Wiseco pistons and EAGLE vs CROWER rods??? (Rocket)
I just want to comment on pistons. I am not a fan of Arias. They have too much taper in them and make way to much noise. They also are made with more silicone content in them. I feel JE's are a great piston. Wisecos are even better then Arias from what ive seen and cheaper. And of course the Manley rods are bad ***. They also make some sweet valve train parts as well.....Mike
