I have both of these BOV's, so far none of them mounted. I guess I'll have to try out both and see if the Type S should really be renamed Type ***.

theres a red ring arround the bov with different sixe holes in it so that you can adjust the "tune" of the sound.
in the picture its on the largest hole.

That ring is just a flimsy piece of aluminum....doesn't really change the sound all that much. i ended up just taking mine off. Looks cleaner

sounds alot better with high boost. i heard one at like 16-18psi on a dsm and it sounded real good. not that lame pepsi bottle sound.
