Apex'i SOHC kit owners.. Dyno results for comparision?
Just took a friend's car to the dyno yesterday and I wanted to get some comparision numbers for other Apex'i kit owners on your SOHC's.
Setup is simple, stock D16Z6 + the kit, 2.5" DP and 3" catback, RC440's and Walbro 255lph intank unit.
Final numbers were 201whp / 180wtq @ 10psi. Seems a bit short compared to my old Y8 setup with a GReddy kit, but then I tend to see Y8's squeeze a little more power overall in general.
Anybody esle have one of these kits?
Few shots of the car, the guy is s0000per meticulous!

Fel-pro all metal head gasket
JDM d15b intake manifold ported to 60mm & 60mm, T.B. Runners gasket matched
D16z6 si tranny rebuilt with carbon syncros and QAUIFE LSD 40K on it
ACT clutch/Pressure plate
stock flywheel shaved to 10-12 cant remember
Apexi turbo manifold
Apexi ball bearing turbo
Apexi 2.5 downpipe
Apexi filter
2.5 test pipe 2.5 mandrel bent exhaust with 18in resornator 2.25 axleback twin-loop
JRC 5in intercooler
2.25 mandral from turbo to intercooler
2.5 mandral from intercooler to Throttle body
ALL Black silicone couplers
HKS BOV
DSM 450cc Injectors
Chrome, street tunned with plx-m300 with data logging
Turboxs High performance boost controller set to 10psi (falls to 8 at 6k)
NGK BKE7E 2 step colder plugs

Very nice setup, I'm wondering how much that porting of the manifold helped you out, I definatley don't like this stick Z6 unit at all. I'm gonna go ahead and see if he'll consider a Skunk2 unit, see them going for ridiculously cheap anyways, I think it'll be a nice investment for the return.

Just wondering about something....I know the manifold is a type of t25 flange and I was reading somewhere the guys with greddy 15g kits bolting on 18g and 19t turbos, as well as gt28r. Does this also apply to us?

no because the way the turbo/ manifodl is setup it wont work. the apexi has the studs in the turbo and not the manifold, its backwards of everybody else, it sucks. what i'm going to do is just upgrade everythig else like manifold and DP this turbo is the **** its just beign held back. my motor is being broke in as we speak so i will be hittign the dyno in 3 weeks and i will have new numbers with 15psi WOOT
