they don't make any base makps. you have to start from gorund 0 for it. That's why we alreays suggest a hondata because it came with basemaps from hondata not to mention there are a lot out as well....

you can have it done by xs engineering for $100.they did mine by what i told them i had and it was almost perfect from the get-go.i spent only 2 hours on the dyno fine tuning it.

Did XS modify the base maps using Power Excel or by other means like the Datalogit ?

maps are different on all cars...even ones with similar setups...I would go to the Apexi website and find a Power Excel dealer near you. wouldn't advice using someone elses maps...the may not be right.

xs is in texas.you DO NOT have to take your car there to be tuned.send them a list of your setup and they will put in base maps that are pretty dang close.then you go to the dyno and fine tune it for your car.i spent two hours on the dyno with mine and that is only because i wanted more power.we hardly touched it.i could have been through in 30 minutes.the power fc is obd2 and they offer obd2 to obd1 adaptors.

they used to charge $100,i assume it is still the same.they program the base maps in.you have full control over the ignition maps and a limited control over the fuel maps.if the "limited control is not enough, you can alter the map voltage to change the base map.make sure whomever you have tune it on the dyno when you get it back has used one before.that will make it much easier.ed from dynotuner.net did mine and he knew it like the back of his hand.

XS is in Cal. Theres a Power Excel shop in Houston, the shop name is Carboy. I would say power fc is there specialty!!! I purchased and had it tuned there.

i dunno i went broke all of the sudden and had to stop buying parts and **** i havent had a chance to send them mine yet, i think what they do is just program you a base map, i heard if it is not programed by a distributor like XS engineering that it wont turn on, you have to have some codes broken or some **** i dunno good luck though man
