Anyone using a Hondata IM gasket with the new RED washers?
Just curious. The red washers are super thin and flimsy. Do they work as well as the old style thick nylon washers do?
I am wondering if Hondata switched washer types so people wouldn't have to swap in longer IM studs.

Re: Anyone using a Hondata IM gasket with the new RED washers? (earl)
I think you have to buy the washers as a seperate item now?
I ordered a gasket from Rocket, it was shipped straight from Hondata. No washers were included, so I told Rocket. Hondata then shipped me about 50 red flimsy *** washers. I don't know why they sent me so many. Odd.
I just want the ones made out of the same material as the gasket itself.
Can anyone get me them?

I was told that Hondata uses them on the D16. That's what 2K TEG told me...

When torqued to anywhere near factory specs the old washers completely disintegrated. I used fiberglass ones on mine and recommended the same thing to Doug. It may be that is what the new ones are.
