I saw quite a bit of difference of opinion when I searched for clutchnet clutches. Some really liked them, some thought they were ok, and other's really hated them.

Just wondering if anyone here is using the sprung 6 puck on their boosted b-series?
If so, how do you like it, how long has it lasted, and any issues?

Or would I be better off just going for the ACT or clutchmasters?

i had one Clutchnet Stage 2.

I had no complaints, held the power, was totaly streetable.

sprung clutches in general suck *******. i hate driving a car w/a sprung clutch.

as for the clutchnet.. its garbage. it grabs good as hell but just feels like ****. zero pedal feel and then it just grabs. if you must have a sprung clutch cm stage 3 is good.... or the act xdss. personally i like my act hdr6 and my friend has a CM stage 5 .... thats a kick *** clutch as well

i have a clutchnet stage 2 (i.e. 6 puck, sprung). I ******* hate it. After installing it, we couldn't believe how bad the clutch feel was. We bled the clutch line over and over, hoping it would become stiffer, but to no avail. It's like a normal clutch feel til halfway, then it falls to the floor. Likewise, you let up the clutch with no weight on it, but then halfway, it snaps into engagement. Also, I get horrible chatter in every gear especially 1st. My cd's skip a lot b/c of this POS. Owning this clutch, I've learned how to drive with it: High revs and feathering on takeoff, and then rev-matching every gear afterward. My biggest complaint is the non-existant clutch feel though. The chatter is controllable atleast.

edit: it squeaks/screeches too.

I'm starting to get the feeling that everyone likes stiff clutch pedals. Is this true?

i dont like it stiff, i just like to have some feel to it...... i dont like the pedal feeling like im pushing nuthing, i hate that

I like my Clutchnet 6 puck sprung hub... Gives decent feedback, and it grabs like a mother.

I just did a basic overhaul on the engagement system when I installed it. I removed the actuator rod and replaced the return spring, made sure it was all greased up well. I've also got a new clutch cable, so that may help as well, I dunno.

$300 well spent, IMHO.

I prefer a stiff clutch pedel. I used to like my clutchnet, but over time I started to really hate it. I wont be buing a new one. I just fug it and bought me a Tilton for my street car.

I wish that was an option for me... I got a spare tranny, I got spare axles... I couldn't afford a spare tilton laying around.

Looks like I'll go ACT or clutchmasters.

what about using the sprung 6 puck with a better pressure plate, like the act extreme? would that be agood combo? it seems most peoples problems are with the pressure plate

That's exactly what I have in my race car. I used the Clutchnet regular pressure plate,and it broke the rivets just pushing it out of the garage. I put in my old ACT regular pressure plate and it wasn't holding the power and slipping. Swapped out for the ACT extreme for a race the next day, worked like a champ!

Well, with all the dislikes of this clutch; my ACT XTSS has incredible grab and pedal feel. I love it.

i have a clutchnet stage 2 disc with an act extremem pp, no complaints here. I do disliek the fact that its sort of hard to feather the clutch, especiall at lower rpms (&lt; 1200)

i have the clutchnet 6puck spruing disc with a centerforce PP. not to stiff of a pedal but not to light, just right! i will agree that beloew about 1200 the enguagment is a little rough, but what do you want from a 6puck? grabs like chmapion, doesnt screetch or squeel like a dying pig. over all a sweet clutch, i wonder if it will hold up my goal of around 350whp. ill let u know in a few days

grabs really good. but you gotta get used to trying to feather it. even when trying to normally take off at a light that thing would try to grab instantly causing alot of chatter b/c im trying to not let it grab instantly. but not bad. i like it.

Out of all the 6 pucks available on the market, I like this one the best. Our customers love them too.

I've had Action and ClutchNet and Centerforce. I love'd my ClutchNet. I liked my Action too but it had way too heavy pressure plate. The Centerforce was just crap. I've been thinking about Exedy or ACT. I was going to use the Exedy Cerametallic in place of the Action I had on my H22 turbo setup.

^^^ this is incorrect BTW

I had a clutchnet 6-puck installed (correctly), and the pressure plate would not disengage the clutch disk. It was taken completely apart & put back together and it STILL didn't disengage fully. to clutchnet. to importparts.com for a full refund. So I got stuck w/ a centerforce due to immediate availability.

I'm using an Action 2MD on my new motor.
