Anyone using the b16 Rod/Supra pistons from turbopanda in their D series?

The supra pistons are forged, and have lower compression, after reading... it looks like the compression will be close to 9.0-9.5...
THEY FIT so dont argue. just want to know if anyone actually use's this system, because i plan on buying it asap.
I want to buy package #1.

If I was going to build a D i would deff go with this setup. Turbopanda is a good guy to, he will do you right. that sounded bad but you know.

I ran these in my D and tuned it to 250WHP. Unfortunately I had to take them out because when I installed the pistons I didn't install the oil control rings properly. The oil control ring cracked and then scarred my cylinder walls. But I assure anyone who is interested in this setup that the cause of failure was directly my fault, not the components.
When I ordered the setup I ordered 6 pistons so I am going to put them into another Z6 bottom end. My goal is 300+WHP daily, on nathans combo.
Nathan is a good guy and you can definately trust him to deal with. I think that the reason you don't see him online is cuz he got an EVO and moved out of the honda scene.

I'll never see a B-series motor, when I get a spare A6 block I'm gonna start saving for that set-up. Low compression isn't nearly as bad as everyone THINKS ( not "KNOWS", "THINKS" ).
My 8.4/1 compresion Z6 bottom, A6 top has full boost at 3700rpms with factory 1'' DX exhust piping from the cat back and a 2 1/4'' DP...

What are the valve diameters of the Supra motor and the valve pocket diameters of the supra piston?
What is the compression height of the supra piston?
What is the pin diameter?
I want to get this on paper from a mathematic point of view and for that I will need all the factors listed above.

Also, has anyon bothered to check the valve angles to see if they are even compatable?
There are many variables that would have to be common for this to work PROPERLY
If someone can supply the above requested info Ill tell you the probability of this combo.

Just because it runs doesnt mean it runs properly or efficiantly.
His calculations for compression ratios are way off, I just noticed that by flipping through a few magazines. The compression heights are way taller than the D series pistons making compression a lot higher than what he calculated. Also, the valve diameters are much bigger from what I remember and the angles are nowhere near the same.
If I can get all of the factors Ill show everyone the begining to end in terms of spec comparisons and calculations.

I want to make somethign clear, Im all for this. If it works GREAT! Im in the porcess of building a boosted D16Y8 for my GF and would love to find a budget solution to internals. I had originally planned on using LS rods and a set of JE's. If this works Ill look into this.

I can get JE's at WD price (Friend of mine is a dealer) and I have several sets of LS rods laying around. Its cheaper for me to go with JE's and LS rods.

i looked at my stock p28 piston and the valve reliefs appear to be almost identical to those, the only difference being the notches on the side of the piston from the valve relief (dont know how to explain it better)

one more thing to add
134mm B16 rods with a 90mm D16 crank = a 1.48 r/s ratio
The D16 is already on the low side stock with a 1.52 r/s ratio, with this set up it gets even worse

Why dont you use Suzuki Vitara pistons? Theyre also forged and will be cheaper than the Supra pistons(even brand new). They are also floating style pistons so that mean that u can put the rods in there w/o having to pay for a machine shop(which will save you even more money)This is what i am doing.
The only thing is that oppsed to the Supra pistons, the Suzuki Vitara pistons will yield lower compression.
8.5:1 on Y7 stock head, slightly higher on Y8 heads(around 8.7:1)
If you want higher compression the u could Mill the head.
Suzuki pistons $146 Brand new set(without a hook up YO)
Hasting Rings(For honda D series piston) $60
4 connecting rods(95)
No machining needed. Total $295
They drop right in any Dseries 75mm block
I got these pistons and rings through a hook up and even with buying Brand new Eagle rods I didnt spend more than $425 on my piston & rod combo.
The only thing is that oppsed to the Supra pistons, the Suzuki Vitara pistons will yield lower compression.
