Anyone used GT25 BB turbos?
Heya,
Has anyone used Garrett GT25 ball-bearing turbo's before? At this stage looks as though i might go with one of these and so was wondering if anyone had any experience with them.

lot of the japanese guys are using that turbo.. its very fast spool up avg midrange pwr good for street car..

They make good stuff. Just don't undersize or try to go for too quick a spool. There's plenty of deals out there, too, just be sure you have a recourse on a used turbo if it isn't right. Good luck.

the GT30 i know atleast spools a good 500-600 rpm faster and thats not the real benefit of a Twin BB setup. The main benefit of TwinBB is the fact that it doesn't spool down in between shifts. I'm still waiting for mine at the moment. I don't know what the spool time would be on a GT25, but I'm sure it would be insanely quick. http://www.agpturbo.com is where I'm getting mine.

Excellent, looks like i am making a good choice then.
From what i know the GT25 i am looking at is rated at 320hp and is an upgrade on the S15 silvia (the 2.0L turbo that we get here from Japan), and so should go well on my 2.2
