Anyone use this turbo on a D-Series?
Alright so Im looking for a new turbo, and Im thinking about getting the Precision SC-34 57 trim .48 A/R. The reason I want the .48 A/R and not the .63 is because this will be going onto a D16 and I want to see full boost before I shift. Now my question is has anyone ever used a SC-34 on a d-series motor? Hows the lag and when does it see full boost around? Originally I was thinking about going with the SC-50 but I realized that I would need much much higher psi to see the amount of power Im looking for, which is 350whp. All input is welcome. Thanks!

I'd really like to see 400, but I'd like to do all this on stock sleeves so I bumped it down to 350... 400 would be my ultimate goal though. What PSI are you pushing to see that on your y8 if you dont mind me asking?

Lol, you sound like me. I always wanted 400whp, but I'm thinking 380whp now. 400whp just sounds like too big and scary of a number on stock d sleeves .
We'll see how it goes. I'd like to see 380 at about 20-22psi. If I blow a sleeve, I don't really care. I just hope I don't ruin my CP's and Crower's.

350whp you'll be fine. With the help of my T3/T04E .60 trim, .63 a/r, stage 3 wheel, I'll be hitting 350 on stock sleeves and stock head. I dont care about lag. If I need to, I'll spray to get it spooled up faster, but I'm sure I'll be fine.
I drove gitwidit's SC61 powered Z6, and surprisingly it was not very laggy at all.

Why does it matter how much psi it takes?

hehehehee, well said grasshopper
Yeah, my sc61 wasn't that bad.... didn't need the nitrous, spooled around 4-4.5k
