Anyone with Precision SC34 experience?

I am thinking about going with the Precision SC34 turbo. My setup right now is 97 ITR with GE sleeved block(stock bore), Arias 9.1 pistons, Crower rods, Stock head, Inlinepro manifold, 3" downpipe and exhaust, and Hondata 4b. My goal is 350-400 for the street and at least 450 on the strip. The car is street driven 95% of the time, so I want something that is going to have useable power, and spool rather quickly. I am coming from a JRSC, so too much lag will kill me. Any input on this turbo will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Tony1 posted a gsr making#'s close to your goal on 9 psi sc61 with i think it was 9 psi, have u considered this route? Do a search for " Another sc61 success story"

Im going with a sc34 on my ls motor and looking to make a little under 300. Direp is running the sc34 you also can talk to him. Also im sure art will chime in when he wakes up lol.

I have been talking with art. He was very helpful. I just want to see if some of you guys have had success with the SC34. I was considering the SC61, but how will that work on the street? I am afraid I will have too much lag. BTW, I am changing over from a JRSC. I am so used to gobs of low end power. I dont want to have to floor it all the time to go anywhere.

Well i get your point its not all about just power its your spool time which is also a factor. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

How about a sc44 60 trim (i think) correct me if im wrong with a .63 a/r

Re: (ITR9788)

The lag on the sc61 isn't bad at all. Full boost by 5k will leave you with a very wide powerband. You should be able to rev pretty high with your setup. I just dynoed one with a 2.5" dp and 2.75" exhaust and still got 359whp on 93 octane at 14psi and 459whp on 116 at 22psi. I did another that made 372whp at 9psi, 93 octane (no race gas runs yet), and another that made 414whp at 14psi and 482whp at 20psi. I would definitely recommend the sc61 https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

If the SC61 takes just a little while longer to spool and gives me more power, then why would I even consider a SC34? What are the pros and cons of each turbo on my setup?
