Anyone make their own vacuum distribution block?
I saw a topic a while ago on how someone made their own vacuum distribution block. I just needed a list of parts and how they went about making it.

just tap a nipple barb fitting on your intake manifold...easier than vac distribution block...
or you can try to use a spare IAB canister

yeah, i was actually thinking about doing that. Some people i know did that and it turned out good for them. I was gonna drill a few holes and go down to home depot and grab the nipple barbs. What size should i use? and are their certain ones you recommend?

you could also go to your local autoparts store and buy 5 way vaccuum T... they are like $3 for a pack of 5. They dont have quite the 'bling' factor as an aluminum block, but they work just fine.

i would not try doing this on your own. the maifold is cast alluminum and will crack with little pressure. just go to an autoparts store and buy 1/8 npt barb fittings and take them to your local machine shop and have them do it for you. thats what i did and it came out really nice and it only cost me 40$!!

nah, it's not as hard as you think it is...
use a good titanium coated drill bit, fresh ones prefereably...drill enough until you can use a 1/8" NPT tap and tap the thread on the IM..

I just made my own from a solid block of alumanum....I was also thinking of welding ends onto an alumanium pipe and then drillings holes into it and making vaccum ports...which i might still do...
Kino, how much would ya pay for a vaccum box setup?

Page 159 of your mcmaster catalog has some inexpensive aluminum vaccum manifolds. No fancy anodizing tho.

You could always go buy the plastic vacuum log for a 87-93 5.0 Mustang... It's got like 6 barbed nipple connections, and it costs like $10.
