Anyone with like 30x10 or 30x8 IC on a teg?
I was wondering if anyone has a like 30x10x3 or 30x8x3 on their tegs?
if so how was fitment? can you keep the bumper support? how was it mounted?
my smaller IC i just trimmed some of the bumper support down to make it fit decent. this one looks like the bumper support might need to be totally cut between the corners where it hooks to the plastic bumpers ?
I have no idea how im gonna do this yet and if its even gonna fit. I just know i needed something bigger for lets say mid 500's-600 hp,
the cores themselves though are 24x10x3 and 24x8x3
any suggestions\pics?

well this is what my bumper support looks like already .
heres a pic with the front end on with my small one, i gotta find the pic of howe i cut it down to even get that to fit like that
heres the pic of how i had to cut it down for a 8, i dunno even how im gonna do it for a 10 and have it fit decent looking . my other concern is how the bumper cover will fit.

You need one of these, XS or Apexi skyline cores.
No need to trim the bumper support or anything. No cutting, nothing. Well the only cutting you might have to do is to the actual bumper but that's it.

You dont necessary have to put tabs on for your intercooler. You can attach some steel tabs to the bottom of your rad. support and have the intercooler sit on these tabs. That's what i usually do instead of attaching the intercooler to the bumper support.
Well i shouldn't say tabs, its more like legs.

If you wanna come up some weekend I could fab something up for you.. Maybe you can mount it closer to the radiator. I'm gonna put a 27x12x2.5 on my intergra.. Not sure how much trimming I will have to do yet.

i didnt even think of that Collin . we kinda did that with my old one becuase the bottom would push out and be like on an angle, so we made like tabs that the IC sat in to pull the bottom back and then bolted it to the bumper support.
so you think it sittin on like tabs like you said and then just have the force from the piping hold it in ?
Overblown thanks for the invite, but it might be tuff, i dont have a trailor to get the car anywhere.

Ok thats cool.. I'm not sure if there is anyone near you that will weld aluminum but if you mocked it up and could figure out how you want tabs mounted you could send it up or drive the other car.. Either way if you need some help just let me know. What if you flipped the cooler the other way so the tabs were on the back of the support?

I like the 10" and there has to be a way to make it fit.. the greddy is that tall and is suppose to fit pretty good. I don't see the 8" giving you enough cooling for that hp level.

I'm thinking flow wise.. the length just lets it cool the air a little more but I think you might find it a little restrictive when you get up that high.. Maybe it will work.. I think Phil was running a drag intercooler and some hacked up drag piping when he made 500whp.. He is planning to upgrade though.
