It would have AIresearch or Garrett stamped into the housing if it was. Maybe a tubonetics T3.

Strange that it's unmarked, but it definitely is or was a Garrett/Turbonetics turbo at some point in its life.

If you can't find any markings at all, you can take off the compressor housing and measure the inducer/exducer diameters (inlet and outer diameter of the wheel) and match it to the dimensions of existing Garrett wheels.

The notching on the nut is normal; this is how they balance the rotor (including the nut)

Didn't the precision turbos that art sells have really nice compressor housing castings like that? I think they were five bolt t3 based as well, anyway thats my guess

Precision was what I was thinking because it does have a number plate, and that's not where Garrett or turbonetics put their number plates.

that is not precision, any manufacturer or assembler can put the plates anywhere they want and added a plate for that reason....
