Default Anyone here run the Autronic PnP, read me

First, who ever know anything about the PnP Autronic, please reply, and let me know

I have a strange re-verberating sound coming from my Intake pipe and it has something to do with the idle motor on the back of the IM. It only makes noise when the autronic is pluged in. Goes away with a stock computer.

Please help

It kinda goes away with changing the voltage of the IACV.

Also, the display on the laptop reads a diff. A/F reading compared to the Autronic Analyzer

This is because the stock denso Iacv is spec'd to run at 488hz and the older autronic ecu's only do 100hz (software selectable), this is fixed in the new SM4 based ecu's. It is a slight irritation, and is most audible with a cold air intake. You can do a couple things. Bump the base idle closer to your actual target idle speed and use the ign idle table to correct the idle, this is usually rock solid in my cars. By doing this, idle fluctuations are less dependant on the use of the iac. BTW tell Billy I said Hey!

Oh yeah, and you must sync the AF meter to the ecu using the keys on the analyzer, go to the help section in the software for this.

whoa, i guess you are the "mysterious Sean" I've heard billy talk about from time to time regarding his 'friend that used to work for honda.'

I think mr. bill got it to work by just adjusting the trottlestop to get the car to idle correctly. that is before wade decided to sell everything and run a stock car again.

They put the autronic on my car for a few hours and it was doing the same thing. They explained what it was. So they got it figured out a long time ago.

Well, not mysterious really. As far as Honda, I still work for R&D but I rarely have time to read the forums like I want to. The only reason I revived this old dead post is because it's been asked quite a few times outside of Honda-tech, so I thought it might help a few.
