Default Anyone here have or know of a T3 setup on a DOHC B-series engine?

A friend of mine was going to sell his T3 (rebuilt, never used) to me for cheap. I originally thought he had a T3/T4...but it turns out it's only a T3.

I've been told by a few people that the T3 wouldn't be adaquete on my B18C1. Everyone tells me that the T3 would be good for SOHC setups, but not DOHC engines (doesn't push enough air).

Thoughts, comments, concerns welcomed.

i dont think there is a t3 compressor trim that will flow very well for a b18c1...but i could be wrong..whats the trim on the compressor wheel? how aout the turbine side?

I'm using a t-3 (from a saab) and it works great. It also worked perfect on my sohc when i had it.
The turbo is capable of 15+psi but i'm only going to be runing about 9psi.A t3t4 will flow more because of the larger compressor but i'm happy with what i have.
How much is he going to sell it for?

i agree...the t3 is more suited for a b16a or a D series application..

in your case:
a motor with more power needs a turbo that pushes more air..! hth
