Anyone here ever blew their B18C by adding a turbo kit?
I am planning to turbo my GSR soon and i just wanted to see how risky it is for my car because i need my car constantly since i go to school and work all the time. So i am in deep trouble if i blow my engine. If anyone here did blow their engine, what kit did you have? thanx.

Ever heard the saying its not guns that kill people, people kill people?
Same thing with the turbo...its not the turbo but the buttmonger driving the car to its death. Granted ragging your car stock every day WILL last longer than ragging your car with a turbo on it.
Dont get it....you really dont need the girls getting 'wet' on your seat from how fast youre going.

i tell people thats if you cant afford to fix a motor, dont fu(k with a motor. The same applies double for boost on a high compression engine.

If you cannot afford to rebuild the engine 12 seconds after you finish ANY performance mod, then don't put the mod on the car. © Jake "GSRwBOOST" 2002

why all the hostility with answering this guy's question? last i checked, this was a message board to assist one another with our knowledge.
but, to answer your question, as long as you don't boost more than 7 lbs or so, you should be fine.
but, i would suggest these things: do a compression check before turboing your car to see what type of condition it is in, do lots of research on turbo systems, get a boost gauge, halmeter a/f meter, egt gauge and oil pressure gauge at the least and install it yourself if you can so would know the ins and outs of the turbo system if anything does goes wrong.
also get a turbo timer, an ignition box with an external coil, and a 3.00" exhaust to get the full potential out of your turbo system
optional: if i would have to do it all over again, i would have saved up the money for a standalone such as a hondata from the start because it is a better sense of security as far as reliability goes.
