Anyone have hondata S100?

Re: Anyone have hondata S100? (BoostedD15B7)
I have one ordered for myself. I recommend them to customers that I tune their cars. I have used the 4b and newer s200 system, but I dont really care about the extra features that come with the s200 system. The s100 is a cleaner install, and once its tuned you can just put your ecu back at the factory location.

I really like mine. But I now want more options, and will upgrade shortly. I just put in a GSR in place of the LS, after I smog, I am upgrading. I assume you have been to their website and read up? If not, it's good stuff
S100 is great bang for the buck. My tuner put my datalogging on disc to watch, but I have a MAC. I did watch it on a friends PC once, awesome.

what is involved with solderign once you get it? I just got my S100 the other day but I have no idea what needs to be done except plugging in the chips? It came with 1 chip a few resistors and one small circuit board. What else do I need to do?

I always send them to hondata. Its 50.00 to get it done from them, and its a one day turn around time. To me its worth the money so you dont ruin the chipboard.

Having done many ecu mods, i would not recommend doing it yourself if you dont have a very good quality desoldering station and very good soldering skills. Its worth it to pay $50 to someone like myself to do the soldering. You'll get a board back that is like stock complete with recoating the board once done.
I just got an S100 for myself although i use the S200 for tuning. I too, like the compact S100 vs the extra box.

I just received mine. Boosted Hyrbid recommended it and I must say I like the compact design too. I just sent out my P28 to Matt at hondata to chip it. To me it's worth the money also to know it's done right. I am going to be using a zif socket like on http://www.stupidfast.com so it will be easier to pop out the chips.

I just purchased a P28 and OBDII to I conversion harness. I'm going to try to find someone local to install my hondata, like a dealer or something. California is a long way from Florida, it would take two weeks ground to go there and come back even with a one day turnaround.

well I just bought a chipped P28 from hondata. So that means all I have to do is just pop in the chips right? The P28 has Hondata stamped Right on it. Inside it looks like it has a spot already installed so that the chip will drop right in.

There are a few really good guys on this board as well as myself that can socket those ecu's up properly.
