Get the new Profec, the type s i think. The spec 2 is a pain in the ***. The original Profec B was great, and then they tried to improve it. Didn't work so well, hence the replacement coming out fairly soon after the spec 2 was released.

Yeah but the Spec II has more features for less money.

More features that don't work very well doesn't get you very far though.
What is it that the spec 2 does that the new one doesn't, than you feel is a benefit?

I've used the Spec 2 in the last 20+ cars we've built and I love it . Some of the extra features , Like "start boost" works pretty well, Holds the WG closed untill the set boost. Also the boost cut and % of cut.
Mine holds boost within 1 lbs from 10 to 20+ psi, Plus very easy to use. I set them in psi , I can't get used to kpa or Bar .
I have had better luck with it than most I have dynoed with. The old school one does work well though.

The real time boost display, peak boost, and warning features are all nice. It's just a matter of preference, IMO, simplicity or more features. Quite honestly I find the Spec II to be fairly simple to use.
Prostreetonline has the Spec II for $320 and the Type S for $331.80.
