Default Anyone ever used an Aeromotive Pro series pump with -8an line?

I got a good deal on a Pro series pump but the tech at Aeromotive said i cannot use a -8 line on it. I just redid my whole line in -8. But id like to run the Pro series pump, so has anyone ever used this pump with line smaller than -10?

I guess not. Looks like we all went with the suggested -10, or is the pro -12? IDK I had a A-1000. **** that, never again

Smaller line means the pump won't perform as indicated

I have an a1000 and I run -10

Ive had a couple A1000's using -8 and never had an issue getting over 700hp. Never noticed the pump heating up like people say they have issues with. Its on a street car. If i HAVE to upgrade to the -10 i will. But like i said, just spent money on all new -8 lines and fittings lol.

Return the pump pick up a magnafuel 4303. Requires 10 feed less than 18" then 8 from the pump to the rail and couple hundred less than that automotive. I had an a1000 back in the day. No thanks lol

My a1000 is quiet compared to most, mount it on rubber isolators and it's dead quiet

Of course most exhausts drown it out anyways

Ive been using A1000's for years. No issues. And mines mounted on the underside of the spare tire well. And my car if ull interior. I dont hear the pump hardly at all and never have any issues with it. Just at 700+ on E85, im a little worried about running out of pump. And i got the Pro Series for $300 fresh rebuilt from Aeromotive. Hard to pass up.

a1000 wont cut it for 700+ on corn. The eliminator would be at the edge with that power and corn. The pro has plenty of flow but its still a low pressure aeromotive pump so your gonna have a 35-40 static base pressure

Ive had 2 different cars making over 700hp on an off the shelf A1000 on E85. My hatch made 721whp with PTE1600's and my teg has made 716whp on ID2000's with a static pressure of 45psi on both cars. Neither car has shown signs of running out of fuel either time, i stopped there cause i didnt wanna try and push the pump any farther knowing that i cant jack up the static pressure. My Teg never fell off after being on the dyno for over 3 hours, pull after pull. Pump never felt like it was heating up with the ethanol going through it either. Checking temps on the pump with a thermo gun and it sat consistently at about 74-76* the whole time.

This was on a base tune with no timing in the motor before in made 716 on less boost. A1000 on the car.

im going off specs of the pump, real world pumps always seem to go further than their ratings. Im not arguing, i just hated my a1000.

I'll be using my a1000 as my high pressure supply pump in my swirl pot/surge tank setup with my fuel cell. Just not sure about low pressure pump choice and quantity. Have to be external inline mount. I'm almost dead set on the Bosch 044 but don't know if I need one or two to have an adequate fuel supply to the surge tank

Ir maybe selling the a1000 to buy 2 044s, one low pressure feeding the tank and one high pressure feeding both fuel rails (8 injectors)

Only going for 450-500whp but want a flow ceiling should I want more. I've had the a1000 forever (and it's still new lol) so I figured why not use it

Unless anyone has a suggestion on affordable out of tank pumps that will get the job done

Not using e85, just plain old 93 with gallons and gallons of meth injection lol
.

i feed mine with 12 and it pumps through 10. 8 will work, the flow will be slightly diminished.
