Anyone ever had a block fixed that spun a main bearing?
How expensive was it? What did the machine shop have to do? Were you able to by the main cap individually from Acura/Honda and have the block line bored?

No, that main cap is for that specific block. If the main cap is damaged like mine was the block is junk. I had to buy a new core which cost me $200.00 and now I am stuffing all the great stuff in it, Crowers, JE, I am also trying to get a billet crank.
To answer your first question the price is limited to your pocket.
My Crank was also shot, thats why am looking at a billet crank, the Stock Honda Crank is very very good though, so its up to U. I am just telling U what I did.

there is an article in the latest issue of Hot Rod that talks about that. Even though its not an import they are still using the same concept on the V8.

You said that you bought a new core for $200? By core, do you mean a block? How did you pick up a block so cheap?
