Is anyone in the Dallas area currently (or have experience) building a custom turbo kit?

Is anyone in the Dallas area currently (or have experience) building a custom turbo kit?
I'm weighing the options between buying an already built turbo kit (Drag) vs just building my own kit. I have no experience in building my own, and don't exactly know what to look for and was wondering if anyone in the Dallas area is doing the same thing, or has already built a kit that I can talk to, search for parts with, or whatever. If I can find some way to build my own and save lots of money, that would be great. Otherwise I'll have to find some way to come up with more cash after my 8-5 job and thats a pain in the ***. But the fact of the matter is, I want turbo and I want it soon

I did mine for about the same price as the kit, only I got everything the way I wanted it....better than some of what comes in the kits.

I am weighing the options as well. I think it would be able to put together a kit.
1.) You get it the way you want it
2.) You can buy it a piece at a time rather than $3000 at one time
3.) You will gain great experience and learn much more about your car, turbos and troubleshooting.
As far as saving money on a DIY, it depends on the quality of parts and what your goals are. You may save money buying a junkyard turbo, intercooler and used parts or you could buy new, better quality parts that would end up about the same as a kit or more.
I don't really have large sums of money to put down at once. So I will most likely go part by part DIY with lots of help from people here on HT and the numureous resources on the net.
Thats just my $0.02
