Just wondering if anybody here is running a stock LS with an SC61? I tossed an LS in the Teg while the GSR is rebuilt (..again) and I was wondering what to expcet with regards to spool time and driving characteristics. I figure it'll be laggy as hell but manageable, then again I have yet to really see it for myself so... anybody?

Why do you want to get such a large turbo for a stock LS? It won't even be close to using it's full potential.

It's pointless. A stock LS can't make the 550whp the SC61 is good for.

I just can't do N/A dude, I mean the GSR was ok, it had spunk.. but an N/A LS in a car that heavy? Oh hell no.. may as well pimp a bus pass

I drove one, powerband sucks. You get about 2000 RPM's of useable power out of it. Personally I think it would be fine if it's just an in between step while you rebuild your GSR motor.

my LS/VTEC made 319 at 9psi. still needs more tuning at a higher boost level. compression i s 9:0

b20z i had mine on 8psi ran great full boost by 4 and ran it up to 7 :-). in all reality too when ur drag racing ur RPMs wouldnt drop under 4k between shifts anyways would u?

In all reality, 99.99% of the time spent in his car between motor builds is probably going to be on the street.

understood but then again for street i was happy with that big turbo lol. then again to each his own.

I have a SC61 on my LS-t setup. Works fine for my application. At the current time, it makes under 400hp but with larger injectors and another tuning session, it should be no problem pumping out 400+hp. There is nothing wrong with a LS-t setup!!
