Anybody Running Boost on a D16Z6 with 76.6mm? GE sleeved! Need advise soon!
Just a quick question for a possible future build. Recently started my D16Z6 build. Will start as a built bottum end on my newly purchased GT3076R until i get my oversized valves, springs, retainers and etc in a new head. I have recently run across a local guy with a Golden Eagle sleeved Z6. My concern with this block is that its been bored previously to 76.5mm. I plan to drive this motor on a regular basis and ofcourse see a lot of track time. Is there anyone here on a bore this big thats running a good amount of boost(ie-25+psi)? Anybody have any opinions on this? Any info is good info!

thats pretty big, I'm boostin my z6 75.5 stock sleeve at 15psi wit t3/t4. i'd be inclined to say you would be ok, but how much extra are custom pistons? do u already have a block, if so I would just sleeve it if ur wantin sleeves then bore to ur likening.

If it's sleeved the only problem you're going to run into is getting a headgasket that's big enough. Other than that, you're fine.

Yes, but it would be one off, any of the aftermarket headgasket makers should be able to get you one.
You will also need a custom sized set of pistons like mentioned before, which again just about anyone will do but you're going to have to spend a little extra.
There's a few guys running around with 78mm bores, so it's all possible. If you can track them down I'm sure they could answer the one off questions a little better.
