I would just like to know how loud this set-up is and if running a resenator with one. Running a thermal right now with 18inch resenator. Any comments?

i run the apexi n1 turbo muffler with custom 3" exhaust, downpipe, flexpipe, and no resonator. it sounds pretty damn mean.

i have 3" pipe with 3" n1 and two 18" dynomax race magnums and it is perfect.i at first i did not have the race magnums and it was rediculously loud.i put them in and i think it is just right now.

I have no cat, 3" custom mandrel piping out to a turbo Apex'i N1. I like the way it sounds, but it could be loud at times when you think about it.

I'm running a 36 inch resonator (louvered kind) with 3 inch piping and a 3 inch N1. Its a bit loud but I like the way it sounds. I'm thinking it might be all about making a louvered resonator with stainless packing that way you could point the louvers into the exhaust flow and it would probably quiet it down a hell of alot and not burn out either.

Dont get me wrong i love a mean sounding car but now a days driving around california and a loud as muffler is calling for trouble.

Can any of you guys comepare it to how the thermal sounds? Keep in mind im planning to run maybe even 2 resenators

i'm runnung an N1 universal with 3" mandrel bends and an apexi silencer. its way loud without the silencer and pretty loud with it.
oh yeah the silencer rattles a bit too...

how much did you all pay for the muffler?

also whats about the average price of getting custom stainless piping all the way back and getting the muffler welded on?

Its just hard to justify paying close to 600 bux for a thermal 3"

u just missed the GB on these 3" mandrel bent exhaust, but contact paul_vang to see if he can still get them. i paid 190 shipped to my door 3" stainless steel.

I have 3in mandrel bent pipes connected to an Apexi turbo muffler. No cat. It does sound mean as hell. When driving normally it's not that loud. Deceleration is loud as **** at 4k rpms. Becareful driving in cities and places where sounds echo. I was driving down my towns main street and setting alarms off for blocks. I had to get outta there before I got a damn noise violation . Just be sensable where you drive and you shouldn't have problems. It sounds ten times better than the Apex N1 60mm exhaust and the Tanabe RM. Has a really low tone.

I paid $470 for everything including tax and install.

Hey DC2R717 are you running a resenator at all? why do you say it sounds better than the 60mm?

I do not have a resonator. It is straight pipe all the way back. I was next to a guy with the Apex N1 60mm catback and it was alot higher pitched and raspy. It was annoying. On the freeway it is not that bad. I drive from PA to NJ all the time and it is not that bad. It really fades out at higher speeds. With no cat though it smells like *** I probably will get a 3in cat next year. All in all it was a good purchase for the price and benefits.
