what is your idea of a decent number?? I dont think you're going to see more than 275whp on that turbo no matter how hard you push it...

get a t3 off a thunderbird and you could hit 300whp on that zc

for the ZC turbo setup. A certain shop in the Greensburg area of PA call ZC's slug motors because they think they are better than everyone else. I like seeing someone put together a nice budget setup that produces results. Good job bro.

I'm hoping next year to get some times from a built d16z6 with the tiny 45trim .42/.48 turbo. I'm hoping to run it a few times at 15+ psi before switching over to a larger snail. The problem finding smaller turbo numbers is that Honda guys tend to get a larger turbo before they get a better MAP sensor. 6psi small turbo --> 6psi larger turbo --> 12psi larger turbo, etc. I'm hoping to max out this small turbo, push as much power in a sohc as most stock-block b-series motors, but have very little lag. My stock d16z6 spooled my t3/t04b s-trim at 3k, and had 11psi at 4k. Was great for power, but spooled a bit slow for daily driving & an LX trans.

As far as the smaller turbos not making as much power, think of the old 'na vs boost' issue. Its not as much power, but its a borad torque curve. Unless you get a custom FD or mix gears, all d-series trans drop the revs quite a bit between shifts. You can also modulate boost in a smaller turbo much easier. Even if you pull too much throttle when the wheels start screaming, you still can get back on it and build boost very quick.

im not really concerned with dyno numbers.. just track time, i broke into 12's with the 14b . my goal is 11's wit the t25 running alot more boost.. so well see.. if the zc blows im dropping a a6 in

You do know a T25 will make less power that the 14b did, right?

You'll probably just end up blowing hot air into your engine since you'll be way out of the turbo's efficiency range.

You say you ran 12's... but there are a lot of other factors that come into play. You could have a 1700lb chassis for all we know so very little hp could easily get you into the 12's.

ya . it was in my 91 hatch.. interior gutted . ls motor and 14b turbo homemade kit. now i have a zc in my crx which is crazy gutted.. doors and all and is prob lighter than the hatch was..so i should be able to put down low 12's high 11's if i get traction. im runnin the t25 @ 16psi right now.. it seems to run great except the lack of traction even with 225 50 15 BFG drag radials.
