Anybody made their own 3" DP?
Just wondering if anybody here has (with the aid of a good welder of course) made their own 3" DP? What I'm particularly interested in is what piping did you use? I have access to a welder and I wanted to entertain the possibility of making a DP for my A/C equipped GSR.. any ideas?

I just bought a 3" Mild Steel 180 and that was enough for my downpipe. If I do it again I will just buy 2 90's. That would make it just a tiny bit easier.

Yes, it should plenty. If you weld on a flex pipe then most of the time you don't need a extra straight piece. It all depends on how long your 90 degree's are.

What manifold are you using? I am using a LoveFab Sidewinder, so the 3" downpipe layout is quite simple...a 90 off the turbine, and a 90 to go under the oil pan. Don't forget you may need a little bit of 3" straight pipe for the length of running to connect to your cat/exhaust.
