anybody have experience using a t3/60-1 on an LS w/ stock redline? (already searched)
i just ordered this turbo w/ .63 AR.........just wondering if it's gonna be too laggy for my stock redline......
i tried searching, but h-t doesn't let you search "t3/60-1" or even "60-1"
i'm trying to get an idea of what i'm getting into because i'm switching from a t3/to4b w/ .63 AR

Won't be too bad as far as lag is concerned, but the 60-1 likes life in the 12+psi range from my experience.

i wouldent expect it to hit full boost until 5k so you will only have about 1.5k of power band

Re: anybody have experience using a t3/60-1 on an LS w/ stock redline? (buttsneeze)
My bro had a stock ls engine with a 60-1. .70AR intake, .48AR exhaust. Started spooling at 4grand. .6bar.. I think full spool by 5k? Pulled like a mother.
My t3 .63/.60 ran a faster 1/4 (13.5@106 vs. 14.0@106), and my car was heavier. (full weight 97ex coupe vs. stripped 93cx hatch). My car had way more bottom end and mid range, but if he still had his car when I had my setup.. I guarantee he would have flew by me on the highway. Even at 100+mph speeds it threw you back in your seat.

ya but let someone else drive his car he'd prolly pull mid 12s easy.
i have 2 friends on this board
seak EK and rob O they both went 12s on sc61 turbos on stock motor ls setups neptuned by jeff evans.
alot of people will tell u the powerband sucks but for a street car that can hang with cobras/camaros/vettes on a stock nonvtec 1.8 turbo its a pretty bad *** setup

If the car could have hooked up, I'm sure it could have.. just like mine. Yes.. his was faster, not saying that it wasn't.. he just had so many traction issues especially with a stock suspension on jank *** tires. My car was a lot more fun to drive around town IMO, but his was a BLAST on the highway.

ya im ean its all on opinion to everyones desired powerbands i myself like that hard kick at full boost with a larger turbo compared to the midrange and lowend power of a smaller turbo

I have a t3 60-1, .48 hot, .70 cold. I reach full boost (7.5) psi at like 4500 on my stock b16. So your ls will be perfectly fine, dont worry about it.

what are you trying to ask. Your redline with deal more with your tranny and trap speeds. At a stock redline depending on how much horsepower you are making will determine what gear you will finish the 1/4 in.
Are you going to use a 2step?
