Well, it's intercooled for one thing... they're only running it at 8 psi and those blowers really don't hit their peak efficiency until 11-12 psi (unlike Eaton / JR blowers) so if you could build up to handle the extra boost, it would be a seriously hot setup.

Anybody hear about the cost of these babies? I would love to get one, then bullet proof my bottom end of my engine.

the units are much more expensive than the Roots blowers (made bty Eaton) that Jackson uses, since they are a more complicated design with close tolerances.

IMHO, it needs to pump a lil more juice out. How much do one of these suckers cost?

it's not "pumping juice" because they've got the bugger turning really slow to avoid blowing an otherwise stock engine. Like I said - at 8 psi that thing is barely coming into its efficiency band.

even @ 8psi methinks it should be throwing a lil more out. Would throwing an intercooled turbo kit on the same D16Y8 yield more HP @ 8psi?

Nah, the turbo would be a good bit better. Look at all the ZC guys... 8 PSI yeilds just under 200 ponies for most... I beleive those ponies on the ZC are at the WHEELS, however.
