Anybody have an ACT clutch fail latley
I've been noticing a ton of failures latley. I'm wondering if the problems have been fixed. It seems that all my friends that have bought an ACT late last year or early this year have had it fail on them with no abuse. However the older ACT clutches are working fine.
I know ACTman posts here, wtf is up?

Re: Anybody have an ACT clutch fail latley (danl)
I killed an ACT 4 puck unpsrung last year after 2000 miles... but it was with stock pressure plate, and heavy abuse so I don't blame the clutch. While it lasted it was very nice - light, easy pedal effort and engagement. I understand some of the bigger power NA guys run that combo and I understand why. When it went it dug a good quarter inch out of the flywheel and PP, destroying both. Or maybe that was my dumbass continuing to hammer on it after it started slipping.
Anyway, is there a common symptom of failure among your friends? Periodic QC issues pop up sometimes, and can be remedied. While possible, I highly doubt that a prominent name like ACT suddenly stopped caring and is producing junk.

I beat the hell out my 10mth old 6 puck every day. it's fine and demands more of it as far as I can tell. I have also installed several ACTs this year and all of them are running strong, some with abuse others just putting around.
