The voltage gauge is going to 12 volts because the engine is stalling, not visa versa.
There could be many reasons why a car would stall when you come to a stop. Vacuum leaks, engine running too rich, problems with aftermarket fuel management and the decceleration fuel cut, etc. I had similar problems and it turned out to be the fact that I have a MAF sensor and was using an open-atmosphere BOV.

It runs fine when the cars moving, but i'll check it out. Any other advice?

kinda same boat as u bro...but mine stalls when weather is hot.. u can check my thread ...hehe
