Default Any probs running new fuel injectors without tuning?

I know somebody that might help me put in my turbo kit and stuff, but I also have some RC440's I want to install also. I have a Hondata but I dont' know if we are going to install that as well or if I'm goign to take it to a shop and get that done professionally.

My question basically is, if I get my turbo all put in and everything including the new fuel injectors, is there any problems driving my car around until I get a chance to get my Hondata installed and retuned?

Do you know if it came with a basemap?
If it did, then you should be okay. just try to stay out of boost and get that thing on the dyno asap.

You'll run like crap at idle and low throttle. Even at WOT you might get too much fuel. Basically you'll just build up a lot of carbon and blow some black smoke. As long as you don't keep it that way, you should be okay driving it around for a few days.

I'm just confused on whether or not to get my turbo and Hodata installed professionally at Payn Technologies. Or if I should let a acquaintence of mine do it for free.

Obviously.. The FREE thing attracts me on that side. My friend swapped his own CHEVY 350 V8 into his Ferio, and works at Ford, does everything himself and turbo's really wouldn't be all that much of a problem.

But on the other side, pay **** loads of money.. yeah.. but getting a VERY RESPECTED tuner and mechanic in Tom Payn that is well known for great tuning and great work to do it once.

I don't know... I'm usually more of worry wort and usually take the safe side in doing so.. But this time... were talking about potentially saving about ... 500 bucks or so.

I'm just paranoid that something will blow.

Anybody with 1/2 a brain can install a turbo kit so let your friend help with that. Then see about installing the injectors when you take the car in to get tuned.Run stock injectors until then. Save $500 and have it tuned by a good reputable shop. If you want to save even more install the injectors yourself it's easy.

It's not just the turbo and Hondata though. There's also the:

Greddy oil cooler
Defi guages
Boost, egt, oil p, fuel p.
Greddy profec b boost controller
need custom fabbed turbo inlet pipe made
want custom test pipe made a well.

What is making me lean towards getting it done professionally is the lack of tools that I have, I need a torch to weld, hell, I don't even have a drill to tap into the oil pan to get the oil return line in.

But I will ask my freind how comfortable he is about the install. Hey, if he says that he can do the fuel managment and alll that extra stuff.. then.. hey.. cool. .But if he isn't too sure.... then, I rather not risk it. Better safe than sorry I guess.

Unless somebody here in Michigan is willing to come by also and lend some expertise.

where did u buy it from?
If it was a dealer they should have provided u with one.
I'm not sure how to check the actual unit for one though.

I got it from a licensed dealer from .. Maryland or something.

http://www.sgtracing.com or something like that.

He was selling it here in Honda Tech last year for a groupbuy.
