Any experience with the JG/Edelbrock Victor X?
New intake manifold is out from them. Cast one piece, very sweet. Huge plenum, short runners, has auxilary nipples for boost/vaccum sources (no more T's) nice nice nice casting as well. Lighter than Skunk2. I am weighing towards buying it. Just curious if anyone has any personal experience with it. I can have it for 295, and I have a buyer for my Skunk2 for 260.

I have one sitting in my shop for my car. I have yet to talk to anyone running one on their car, but from what Javier at JG said, they are making some pretty impressive numbers with them. He also said Jojo picked up 20hp over his custom sheetmetal one. So we will see.

Art,
It does away with the IAB's.
Sweet that it has nipples for vac sources.
Even nicer is the price Vapor Trail can get it at.

I can't tell you, honestly. I fear that if it's so low, everyone will call expecting that price, and he can't sell them to everyone at that price - it's a friend hook up thing.
But, I will definately say that this is the nicest big plenum manifold out there. The inside of the plenum is huge, like a Venom or STR, but unlike those sheetmetal intakes, it's smooth and rounded, to promote good airflow. It's very apparent that Edelbrock's manufacturing skills have helped JG tremendously. This is a very high quality piece - it even comes with a throttle body gasket. Now that's nice.

Direp972 and I saw it this weekend at Jotech, it was huge and nice, the runner are shorter and bigger, they had a skunk2 IM as well, it was easy to compare...
I thought my skunk was big enough...but yeah, if there is a group buy, I can always sell my skunk 2 and get the JG..

is this manifold meant for street cars? When I saw it in person it looked like about the same size as those high hp only manifolds like HP and STR.. If I could see a dyno of a street car(8-10psi) making good power off this I would definitly join in on a group buy.

VaporTrail
$295 Thats WHOA!!!
If I could get it anywhere close to that price I would be very interested in buying one.
P.S. A groupbuy for this forum only would be kick ***!!!!

Let me just say that I doubt Ben or anyone could match that price of Vapor Trail. It seems that Vapor is getting a hookup of some sort and its not realy for the general public. If anything maybe $50 off the reatail would be good.

man, I feel all special, I really didn't think that the deal was THAT good, but hey, I'LL TAKE IT But don't use my price as a yardstick to measure a group buy by.
