What, you've never seen a DAC custom fitted with an Apex'i blowoff valve and connected to a 2.5" mandrel bend with a 3-2" reducer fitting? Geez, you need to get out more.

If anyone is looking for a starion IC with some nice tig welds on it, polished entanks, and mounting brackets for teg/civic, let me know I might have one for sale. TIA.

sweet another custom turbo setup ima do the same as soon as i find that intercooler. are the black hoses you used from home depot, lowe's,etc? another thing i think your intercooler is kinda off center(leaning towards left side of car). cool setup even tho its ghetto

Re: Another Starion IC made possible by the fine people at JB-Weld and Ghetto Engineering (autoLS)
The big black hoses (3-2 reducers) are from home depot; the rest of the connections I made with large diameter radiator hose pieces, which I prefer over the home depot stuff but I ran out of large enough rad. hose to do the job.
The IC is deliberately off center because of the power steering fluid cooling loop in front of the AC condenser; I didn't want to mess with relocating that so I just shifted the IC over a few inches. Symmetry is secondary when you're ghetto engineering.

I pray this isn't planned to be a daily driver. I also hope you got jackstands, because you've got to have a deathwish getting under the car with the stock jack like that.
JB weld cracks, real easily, in my experience, i'd watch it closely if i were you

Re: Another Starion IC made possible by the fine people at JB-Weld and Ghetto Engineering (Phantom)
Ah you crazy "practical" people. The car was only jacked up like that for a moment so I could get the hose onto the compressor output. And I've been daily driving that car with a LOT worse IC piping setup for almost a year of commuting to work now. This is a huge improvement. Well applied JB weld is actually amazingly strong if it's loaded in the right directions.

dude... I'm too cheap to buy real intercooler piping what makes you think I'd go buy a Tial wastegate?
Seriously thought the delta has been fine for me, boost is well controlled and I have no problems with it so I don't see much reason to mess with it.

Re: Another Starion IC made possible by the fine people at JB-Weld and Ghetto Engineering (dbman96)
I had JB Welded my oil return fitting to my oil pan, and it fell off Monday on the way back from getting my DP done. It lasted about 30 minutes max before the JB Weld cracked and f**king oil spewed all over the bottom of my car and all over my new downpipe. Smoking up a storm...

Ever hear of wire loom? Are all of those wires for Piaa Lights? It looks like my friends Piaa setup.

Do us all a favor and don't get under a car supported with just a jack. even for a "second". Someone I know was killed doing just that.
