Default Another DSM Injector wiring question: *already searched!!!!* OBD2B

Hey all..

So I got the injectors in and ready to go. But ive read a few DIY's on the wiring and they are all done for EG's!
On my EK, the driver side shock mount only has the wiring harness plug for the alternator. I cant find the one for my injectors so I can wire up the resistor box. Where is it at?

Also, I got the injector clips and they all fit, so I just chop the ones off my harness and use these instead?

And as for wiring up the resistor box, each black wire goes to one injector wire on the harness, and the red wire goes to all four of the injector wires coming from the harness correct??

correct. all four wires go to the one red, then distribute each black wire back to the injector...order is irrelevant.

and the dead end plug is under the intake mani....real bitch. i would just go back a little ways from the injectors and put it in that way. you dont have to use the dead end plug. or if you want just splice in an inline resistor right before the injector.

are you meaning each black wire from the resistor box go to one wire a piece? I know on the Eg's you wire one of the black wires to one of the black and yellow wires, and the red one goes to one of the other wires from that plug that aren't being used and the rest you just leave alone.

Oh okay sweet thats what I was thinking, I just wasnt sure if it needed to be near the plug.
I got some wire too, ill try to find a way to make it look neat. My injector install looks pretty decent, ive seen some where they used butt connectors and its like uggh. Im trying to make my bay butt connecter less haha

Injector wires 1-4 connected to black wires 1-4 on resistor box, then other end of injector harness are connected together, then connected to the one red wire from the box correct??

And any ideas on where to locate the box for a neat look?

correct. some injector boxes have a bolt hole on them. just mount it to a 10mm bolt hole and call it good. if not, zip ties always work. lulz.

Wait, the 4 black wires on teh resistor box go to the yellow black wires on the injectors?!?!?!

WTFALKJSKDFLJASLFDKJAWKLEFJAKLSDJFAS!!!!

I wired it up to the blue green brown yellow etc wires and left hte yellow blacks alone!

no. do you even understand how injectors are fired? What a resistor box does?

Injectors are fired by ground, they get ground they fire, they have constant positive voltage.. +5 or +12 depending on the system. DSM for example (stock anyways) are +5 so you need a resistor box, they all share a common positive voltage from a common source, so basically if you need a +5 you put +12 into your resistor box, then from the box one wire goes to each side of each injector.. 1 wire into the resistor box, 4 out. Then each injector has a coloured wire with a trace etc, this is the signal wire from the injector which provides with ground to fire it. This dosen't get touched.

In a DC system there is constant voltage as compared to an AC system which the voltage is 0 2x per cycle, so with DC when a contact is 'open' there is always more of an arc, more heat etc. When you switch the ground rather then the positive side there is less of an 'arc'.

Understand now? Its very straight forward how to wire in a resistor box on ANY application.
