Default Aluminum piping, where to get it, and how much will i need.

I need some aluminum bends for my intercooler piping, 2.25 hot side and 2.5" cold side. Not sure if it needs to be unpolished because it is going to have to be welded. Also not sure if this is the best forum to post this in. It will be for a 95 accord, haven't decided to run hot side piping over turbo or clock it down and under it. These pics were on a test fit so dont mind the squished hose and the turbo at an angle. Wheres the cheapest place for piping? I'm not quite sure how manybends i need, any suggestions welcome

why aluminum, and i have read that you cant weld onto aluinum if it has already been polished. something to do with the chemicals in the polishing agents that react with the welding process. is this true?

Aluminum can be migged too

Also... it "flows smoother"? Uh... its just pipe... it'll flow the same as alumnized steel piping

People have actually been using some of those ebay aluminum piping kits with success. Cleaning/prep will be key since they are polished/coated... and then tig/mig away. Of course tig is prettier... but a higher end Mig machine with the proper gas/wire/welder... works too

Unless its a race car... and you need all the weight savings possible... I'd just use aluminized and paint it. All depends on your budget really... steel is alot cheaper for parts and welding work.

Any facts in fluid dynamics to back up why one metal flows air better than another metal? Alumninum is lighter but I doubt it flows any better than alumnized steal...
