Default all u JRSC guys out there, maybe u can help me

well after 2 years of crap i finally get my car tuned and supercharged, yea great right?

not anymore, my car now spits the belt off after i hit over or near 10psi.

i havent launched it or taken it to any events, but it just spits it off at random when i hit over 10 psi. ive asked a few guys and ive gotten a few answers like, pulleys could be off, or the alt bolt doesnt have spacers. but i checked all of that and everything is good. my biggest fear is the supercharger is damaged internally.

heres my dyno for the guys that i promised awhile back. did 2 runs, on the 3rd run the belt came off

once i fix my belt problem, ima focus on a exhaust system, probally a dc 4-1 and apexi ws2 exhaust.


specs

1995 GS-R
need valve adj, no comp check
stock internals
fresh oil change, 20-50
stock header
stock exhaust with a crushed area from an accident
hondata s200 boost
dsm 450 cc injectors
aem CAI modified to SR
NGK Plugs and wires
crv crank pulley
str cam gears

If u get a chance, split the charger and take a look at the blades, the ends should NOT be chipped, also the charged should spin with ease and shouldnt wine unless in boost, couple things that helped my buy

im sorry to say but we have had 2 cars up here with blowers and the pulley upgrades toss belts all the time... one tossed 2 in one day.... im not sure what the issue is, since now im building that one a turbo motor and hes ditching the blower.... the other tightened his belt alot and it doesnt toss the belt, but now it just slips...also

but what jackson said when we called them was, "check the tensioner"

we did and it was fine, slightly grooved but not that big a deal, replaced it, and it still tossed belts....

not sure what to tell you....

yea, i guess ill just keep tossing them, ive got it down to 20 mins to change it since ive done it 10 times in one month

there is probally a problem tho, ill just have to tear it down and check it, might even try upgrading all the pulleys.

hmm.. I'm not too familiar with the JR kit on integras, but are you sure the pullies are lined up correctly?

For the prelude application, theres a big ol' wall o' pullies that has a specific torque sequence to make sure all the pullies stay lined up...

custom pulleys? how hard could it be? bearings are easy to find.

bearings for the charger are kind of dumb... from what jackason says, the bearings(needle bearings) are not replaceable without sending the unit back to jackson....

but for the pulleys and idler pulleys and all the mass o-pulleys. yeah you can find those.

is jrsc bearing pulley messed up if it spin fast the belt slip all the time

i had that problem then i rebuilt it

cost me 600

hmmm.. does anyone know the part numbers or where i can find a good source for the idler pullies?

I melted 2 last year, and it was a bitch to pay $75 for 2 pulles from JR... I'd go to autozone and ask, but they dont know how to find anything if its a custom application.. they always end up asking me year/make/model and get confused...

Kinda sounds like your pulleys aren't aligned properly, maybe the tensioner bracket is misaligned? I ran 10-12psi daily on my last setup and never had any problems with the belt.

I put about 10k miles on my JRSC setup and never once tossed a belt...even at 10 psi. It sounds like something isn't lined up right or maybe you are overtightening the belts. Next time you change a belt, spin the SC by hand and make sure that it spins smoothly.

Turbo's dont use belts. no offense but get rid of the SC and go with a turbo set up U will be much happier. your dyno #'s will be way better to.

The JRSC system is relatively simple. If you're having troubles with it, you are only gonna double those when you move over to a turbo...far more complexity there, imo.

the reason i bought the S/C is that i wanted to get into autocross, and have a car where i call pull all my mods off and sell as a oem car.


well its hard to know which pulley could be off, the shaft spins freely and doesnt get caught up. i just put a new belt on, and did 4 runs on the interstate to make sure, belt doesnt come off, i set it to the same tension i always did, hits 9-10psi. i just have a gut feeling its going to come off still. im going to take my car and get it checked by a tuner and see what he has to say about it.

good luck with that dude, I'm still looking for a charger myself... hopefully someone will have one for sale in the near future... hope you can find out what's making it toss the belts, I'll be running 10psi or so as well.

i don't have any ideas for you, other than i am in the same boat as the posters above. i've ran 10psi now for awhile and have never shredded a belt. you're positive that all of the pullies are aligned properly with eachother? i know this has been covered, but this is almost always what the problem is in this type of situation.

not positive at all, im pretty sure this is where my problem is. my car has ran 5 psi fine for awhile, then i went with the crv upgrade now the belts flip off the pulley, i can look at them when they come off, there no sign of damage from the initial roll off.

now where can i go and get a alignment tool/laser to check the pulleys?

Rboosted717 used to have a supercharged type r .....i know he figured out some stuff to keep the the belts from flyin off......i dont see him on ht much anymore but try pm'ing him .....i heard something about z10 maybe making a cog style belt and gears but that was just hearsay......
