Default To all the SOHC soldiers

Especially for the D series. Here's a little retrospective vid of my car. 56K beware, it's 60M in size.

Hope that you enjoy it.

Canada it is.

Setup:

Ported head + custom camshaft
Custom intake manifold
Mitsu 20G turbo
3" downpipe + exhaust

I have it in complete detail in a text file at work.

Awesome car. No internals? How long you been running this setup? Are you still running an internal wastegate on the 20g? I am looknig to upgrade to a evo3 16g or 18g after I rebuild over the winter.

I am guessing it has forged rods/pistons considering it made over 300whp on the dyno.

I was thinking the same thing...

Can you give any specs as to the extent of the build?

Default Re: (rextec)

Lag is relative to the gear. I can have 15psi at redline in 1st and I can also have 15psi @ 4000rpm in 5th.

Also, in some sequence (if not all), I'm making well over 310whp as I'm not only pushing 15psi.

Here's the complete setup

Block:

D16Z6
Stock sleeves bored .020 over
NewformZ blockguard
ARP head studs
Arias 9:1 pistons
Eagle rods
Stock crank

Head:

Ported stage 3 D16Z6 head
Manley stainless steel valves
Zex valves springs
Stock valves retainers
Custom camshaft
Skunk2 cam gear
Stock head gasket
Custom intake manifold
Precision 680cc injectors

Electronics:

MSD 6AL
MSD Blaster 2 coil
MSD 2 step rev limiter
Greddy turbo timer
Greddy Profec B boost controller
Chipped ECU with Uberdata
3 bar GM map sensor
FJO wideband with gauge display
Autometer gauges

Induction:

TD05-20G (660 cfm)
FMIC 30x11x3.5
HKS SSBOV
Tial 38mm with 15psi spring external WG

Exhaust:

Custom turbo manifold
3" stainless steel downpipe
3" stainless steel exhaust
3" stainless steel Vibrant muffler

Driveline:

Protane total kit bushings
Protane motor mounts kit
Koni yellow shocks
H&R race springs
JimFab traction bars
11lbs flywheel
ClutchMaster stage 4 clutch
92 Si tranny with 4th and 5th gears from a 91 Si tranny
Quaife LSD
Stock axles
M&H 22 x 8 x 15 slicks
Toyo RA-1 street tires

Car weight about 2350lbs with me in racing form.

I should have 24.5 x 8.5 x 15 slicks for next year.

Nice vid, I love the part where you bury the speedo doing a burnout.
