All OBD0 BRE Tuners
Does BRE allow u to change ur 2step easilly. Can i use a 4 bar map sensor(For future upgrades aka fully build b16). This is going to be on an obd0 b16 with stock bottom end and cometic hg, arp head studs, gsr cams, blox cam gears, and 680cc peak and hold precision injectors. Also can i run 1100cc injectors with e85 on BRE. This will be with a 57 trim t3/t4 or the famous ebay t70(FTW). Keep in mind this will be a track only car. 89 std hatch. thanks lmk

Bre is crap, turboedit is ok, for what you are going to spend, just convert to obd1, all you need is a ecu jumper harness, obd1 ecu, obd1 dizzy, and dizzy jumper, plug it in and done. much better tuning choices with obd1

This is one of the reason why HT sucks. Just because "there are better tuning options" for obd1 doesn't mean something for obd0 can't get the job done. I am a obd0 turbo *****, and my first motor was tuned on hondata stage3b, and im shooting for 350 on my current build.
Bottom line, BRE will work, and it will work good. some tuners are really lazy and they will tell you to convert to obd1, thats when i found a different tuner There are several guys running 350+ on bre and deep in the 11's.

Now that i have ranted i will answer your questions. The newest version of BRE only supports 2.5 and 3 bar maps, which will be plenty for you. Also, to change the two step you would have to burn new chips, or have an emulator and a laptop. As for the 1100cc injectors on e85, i'm not to sure how well it would run on BRE, because the cold start options and other stuff are not as advanced...so it may be a hard car to start-BUT on a stock bottom end you would never reach 80% of the ability of 1100 injectors. Good luck!

Please elaborate on your experience, so we all can learn why BRE is "crap"

Bre is solid, although I use turboedit. in TE, i know for sure you can use the supplied spread sheet to calculate fuel numbers to compensate for larger injectors.
if i could afford to do an OBD1 swap i would. prolly going to be my next adventure.

Re: (welfarepc)
I wanted to try TE/BRE, but I had a hard time finding an OBD0 ecu, but had OBD1 parts in abundance. Go figure.
I was just looking at digikey.com, and they still have 'normal' ported 2.5bar freescale sensors, as well as the mini-ported 3bar sensors - $15 each. Now if you can still make power over 28psi with a 57trim on a stock obd0 b16a, you'd know something many other people don't...
As long as you spend some time into street tuning, BRE & TE can get your car running very good. Wether the trouble is worth the $150+ you save from not going with obd1 is up to you.
